Cuttlebone Casting is an ancient technique used in jewellery casting.
The design is carved into the bone then the metal is melted and poured into it.
It creates a unique texture on the surface of the jewellery piece.
In this course the students will learn about tools and materials, preparation of cuttlefish mold, cuttlebone carving. The students will cast a piece of jewellery or small object in sterling silver.
No prior metalworking, drawing, or design experience is required.
